Adele A. Davies, 99, formerly of Wind Gap passed away November 27, 2015 in Henryville. Her husband Morris "Buck" Davies passed away on March 4, 1994. Born November 22, 1916 in Wind Gap, she was a daughter of the late Charles Cortazzo and Angelina Cortazzo Arcury.

Adele was a former member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Wind Gap where she sang on the choir and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family.

Adele is survived by five daughters; Carol Ann Serfass and husband Kermit of Levittown, Charlotte Davies of Tempe, AZ Cynthia Flyte of East Stroudsburg, Elizabeth Nicolais of Henryville with whom she resided and Marcia Thornton of Bangor as well as 15 Grandchildren, 24 Great grandchildren and 7 Great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters Madelyn "Winnie" Lessig and Mary Amadore, brother Anthony "Tootie" Cortez and granddaughter Michelle Davies.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday December 2, 2015 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St. Wind Gap. Funeral services will follow at 11 am in the funeral home with the Rev. Joel Atkinson presiding. Burial will be private.
