Alfred Lucky Kichline, 90, formerly of Plainfield Twp., passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Gracedale Nursing Home. Prior he resided with his daughter and family in Easton. He was the husband of the late Elaine Couch Kichline.
Born May 18, 1929 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late George and Emma Dalrymple Kichline.
Alfred started his career in banking with ENBT, later known as Merchant's Bank, where he retired as vice president in 1989. He was a loving father and grandfather, and in his spare time he enjoyed dining out with his family, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching football, as he was an avid Eagle's fan.
Alfred's passion was music. He taught and played trumpet, and was a member of many bands and orchestras, including the Dave Neith orchestra.
He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Belfast.
Alfred is survived by his only child, Elleni Evans and husband Morris (Moe); and grandchildren, Casey and Tawny. He was predeceased by four sisters, Ella, Esther, Anna and Georgia.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 10:30-11 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, 5907 Sullivan Trail, Belfast. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the church, with the Reverend Deborah Taylor presiding. Burial will be private in Plainfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
