Annette R. Davidowski passed away early Friday morning, May 16, 2014 in Hershey Medical Center following a brief illness. Born April 4, 1930 in Wind Gap, she was the only child of the late Grace (Houck) Reimer and Roy H. Reimer. She was the beloved wife of Anthony F. Davidowski with whom she shared 52 years of marriage prior to his death in October of 2004. Annette graduated from Kutztown State Teachers College in 1952 with a degree in English and Secondary Education. She later completed coursework in Library Science and occasionally worked as a substitute teacher. Although her professional life was important to her, she was passionate about caring for her husband and two children. Annette was an excellent cook and baker, had a quick wit in conversation and letter writing and loved to decorate. Her home was always decorated for the season with miniature displays from her vast collection of ornaments. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, listening to Big Band music and following current events. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and the wrens and song birds that called her yard home. She is survived by a daughter Kim A. Bedard and her husband Charles J., a son Thomas A. Davidowski and his wife Evelyn Z., two granddaughters, Meghan Bezler and Erin Thomas and great granddaughter Brianna Thomas. Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family with burial in Plainfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 202 West St., Wind Gap, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Annette's name may be offered to the Heart Vascular Institute at the Hershey Medical Center, 500 University Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.
