Annette S. Power, 95, of Nazareth, died Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late William P. Power. Born December 5, 1930, in Houston, TX, she was the daughter of the late Harold Hall and Annette (Biford) Scaff.

Annette grew up in East Orange, New Jersey, and graduated from Morristown Beand School in 1948. She attended Duke University before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1952. In 1953, she married William Patrick Power, and together they raised their three sons, William, James, and Kevin, in Nutley, New Jersey.

In 1968, Annette and her family moved to a farm in Flemington, New Jersey, where she grew organic vegetables and pasture raised meats to provide for her family and tended a flock of Dorset sheep for 33 years.

Later in life, she graduated from Westminster Choir College and shared her love of music by teaching piano for many years. Deeply devoted to her faith, she was active first in the Catholic Church and later in the Episcopal Church, lending her voice to the choirs at St. John’s in Lambertville and St. Thomas in Pittstown.

After moving to Moravian Square Hall in Nazareth, Annette became actively involved with the Governor Wolf Historical Society, where she served on its Board of Directors. In her retirement years, she traveled throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe with the Lost Souls Hiking Club.

Surviving is her son, James Power of Flemington, NJ; grandchildren, Christine Brown, Virginia Cassidy, and Donald Barnes; great grandchildren, Jonathan Brown, Olivia Brown, William Brown, and Riley Barnes; great great grandchildren, Dominic Principi, Carson Brown, and Juliette Brown; brother, Harold H. Scott Jr. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sons, William Power and Kevin Power.
