Anthonina B. "Neene" Overholt, 97, of Nazareth, PA passed away peacefully with her son and daughter by her side on Saturday, December 31, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard F. Overholt to whom she was married for 68 years prior to his passing on January 3, 2018. Born on March 29, 1925 in Nazareth, PA she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie Bosich.

Neene was employed by Binney & Smith (now Crayola LLC) for several years before she became a stay at home mom.  She later spent many years working in several Nazareth Area School District cafeterias.  As an active parishioner of the Holy Family Church in Nazareth, Neene was a member of the Holy Family Quilters and the Altar and Rosary Society.  With her husband she could always be counted on to make pierogies, man the lemonade stand for the church picnic and help out at the church spaghetti dinner.  The couple also routinely assisted with hosting the Holy Family Golden Agers. Additionally, for many years Neene and her husband delivered for Meals on Wheels in the Nazareth area.  With these many charity activities Neene still found time to enjoy her hobbies of gardening, baking, quilting, and traveling with her husband.

Neene is survived by her daughter Janet Overholt and her partner Bill Beck of Tenants Harbor, ME, her son Tom Overholt and his wife Kathy of Haddonfield, NJ, her granddaughter Jennie Overholt and her husband Christian Haeffner of Munich, Germany, and her grandson Kevin Overholt and his wife Conti of Haddonfield Heights, and by her great-granddaughter Mia Antonina.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on January 9 from 9:30-10:30 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Holy Family Catholic Church, 23 Forest Drive, Nazareth.  Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Church, 23 Forest Drive, Nazareth, PA 18064 or to the American Heart Association.
