Arlene E. Nelson, 89, formerly of Tatamy, passed away on Saturday morning, July 6, 2019 in Gracedale. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Nelson; together they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage.

Born September 18, 1929 in Forks Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Edith Krock Gordon.
Arlene retired from Binney and Smith after many years of service where she worked as a labeler and floor lady. She loved to bake, cook and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth, the 25 Year Club at Binney and Smith and several bowling leagues at BarDon Lanes where she won numerous trophies throughout the years.

Arlene is survived by her only child, son Timothy Nelson and his wife Ruth of Stockertown, 2 grandsons; Todd Nelson and his wife Kelly of Bushkill Township and Ryan Nelson and his wife Laurie of Nazareth, 2 great grandsons; Jack and Elijah Nelson and 1 great granddaughter Mackenzie Rose Nelson as well as 3 sisters; Loretta Siegfried Mary Pensyl and Lucille Mengel and her husband Dale, all of Nazareth.
She was predeceased by brothers, William Gordon and Russell Gordon and sister Judy Greenleaf.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Arlene will be laid to rest in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
