Arlene A. Uhler, 92, of Upper Nazareth, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Gracedale Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred J. Uhler who died in 2008. Born on June 8, 1922, in Easton, Arlene was the last living daughter of the late Herman and Anna Pleiss. Arlene graduated from Easton High School and worked as a sewing machine operator in various garment mills in the area. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Tatamy. Arlene is survived by her son, Glenn A. Uhler (Marilyn) of West Trenton, NJ. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Scott Uhler (Jill) and Jessica Cashel (Chris), and three great-grandchildren, Jonah, Adelide and Luke. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 pm on Friday, January 30, 2015, in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm, with the Rev. Herbert Dolich presiding. Private burial will be in Forks Cemetery, Easton, PA.
