Arretta H. Sargent, 93, passed away November 13, 2013 in St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus. She was the wife of Wallace Sargent Sr. who passed away on January 9, 1992. BORN: November 1, 1920 in West Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Sabina Williamson Eckart. PERSONAL: Before retiring, Arretta was employed as a sewing machine operator for the Glove Factory and later Ideal Fashions both in Pen Argyl. She was a former member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Nazareth. Arretta was a loving mother and grandmother; one who the family could count on for guidance and support. SURVIVORS: She is survived by her only child, son Wallace Jr. and his wife Joan of Albrightsville, Grandchildren Wallace III and his wife Amy and Lisa Dean and her husband Scott, 8 Great grandchildren and 1 Great great-grandchild as well as her sister, Marie Metz, of East Lawn, Nazareth. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, at Noon, in the Schmidt Funeral Home 202 West St. Wind Gap, with Pastor Carl J. Fischer presiding. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday from 11-12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wind Gap Cemetery.
