Audrey L. Achenbach, age 86, of Plainfield Township, PA passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. She was the wife of the late Henry Achenbach, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Born on July 9, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Hilda (Young) Heyer.

Audrey was a proud graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1955. She was employed in various office roles through the years, including church secretary at Hope UCC, Wind Gap, and bookkeeper for accountant Joseph Duvo, Roseto. Much of her time was also spent helping her husband run the family farm.

Audrey is survived by her son, Wayne and his wife Kay; her daughter Susan (Price) and her husband Brian, and her daughter Beth(Ruch) and her husband Allen; grandchildren Lisa Scalzo(Frank); Brian Achenbach (Samantha); Melissa Cobb (Michael); Courtney Skinner(Dorian); Brittany Hunt (Ryan); great grandchildren Giuliana, Mariella, Evelyn, and Caleb. Also her brother-in-law Leroy Achenbach and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, brother Gilbert and his wife Doris.

Audrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Hope UCC where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She enjoyed reading, watching football, viewing Facebook, rocking on the front porch of her log cabin, and family. Phone calls, Facetimes, and visits made her day. Audrey will be lovingly remembered for her selflessness, warm smile, and devotion to her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where the Memorial service will begin at 11 am.   A joint burial, for Audrey and Henry, will follow in Belfast Union Cemetery.
