Barbara A. "Spike" Hauze, 54, of Wind Gap, passed away after a short illness on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of Richard M. Hauze, with whom she shared 18 years of marriage.  Born on January 30, 1961 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Elizabeth Flyte Nesfeder.

Barbara worked in the warehouse for Lincoln Textile Products in Bath for more than than 20 years. A very loving and caring person, she will be missed by her circle of friends and co-workers with whom she kept in touch with daily. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she also had a deep love for her pets.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her loving children, Tina Carroll and her husband Richard, Richelle Hauanio and her husband Isaac, and Michael Hauze and his wife Stephanie Owensby. Also surviving is her mother-in-law, Carmela Hauze, sisters Linda Richline and her companion Bill Cherry, and Darlene Nesfeder and her companion Ralph Green; 8 grandchildren; an Uncle and 2 Aunts; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Nesfeder, and her father-in-law, Gerald Hauze.

Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 am on Wednesday, December 23, at the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 202 West Street, Wind Gap. A funeral service will begin at 11 am in the funeral home, with The Rev. Canon Andrew T. Gerns officiating. Burial will follow at Wind Gap Cemetery, Pen Argyl (Plainfield Twp.).
