Barbara A. Marks

Barbara A. Marks, 78, of Plainfield Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Gracedale, Upper Nazareth. She was the loving wife of Donald Marks. Together they celebrated 32 years of marriage.

Born April 24, 1948, in Easton, she was a daughter of Willard and Gladys (Zipf) Weaver. Barbara was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School, class of 1966. Following graduation, she devoted her early career to working as a teller at several banking institutions. Later, she embraced the role of office manager for the dental practice of Dr. Randy Heard, where she developed lasting relationships with colleagues and patients until her retirement.

Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly spending time tending to her flower gardens - a pastime that brought her peace and happiness. Family was the cornerstone of her heart, and she eagerly anticipated visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, treasuring those moments of connection and love.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Plainfield Township.

Along with her parents and husband Donald, Barbara is survived by her son Edward Shafer and her daughter Christine Nace; grandchildren Jullian Flores and Dustin Sizemore; and great grandchildren Bentley and Jamisen as well as her sisters Susan Smith and Donna Hardy, and brother Allen Weaver.

Services will be private with the family.
