Obituary

Barbara A. Rohrbaugh, 87, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 13th at Country Meadows County Care Retirement Community in Bethlehem.

Born on December 15, 1936, Barbara dedicated much of her life to nurturing her family, contributing to her community, and fostering her own personal growth and education. Barbara graduated from Taylor High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University. Her professional life was marked by over 18 years at Cooper Industries (Penn Pump), where she retired as a Buyer in the Purchasing Department.

Deeply involved in her community, Barbara served as the Recording Secretary to the Board of the Nazareth Area Food Bank for many years and was a committed choir member at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nazareth, PA, for over 18 years. Barbara was a charter member in the The Snazzies an official chapter of the Red Hat Society for over 20 years. She and many of her dear friends remained with the group that later went on to be known as "The Ladies Who Lunch." Her hobbies included reading extensively, traveling and cruising with her late spouse, Millard E. Rohrbaugh, and spending cherished moments with her beloved orange tabby, Riley.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 19, from 10-11am in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 S Broad St., Nazareth, PA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the sanctuary where her life will be celebrated and remembered. Barbara will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth.

She leaves behind a loving family: her son, John P. Miller, Jr. (Monica) of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho;  daughter, Margaret M. Gabel (Jeffrey) of Allentown, PA; and son, David W. Miller (Casey) of  Emmaus, PA. Barbara's joy was multiplied by her five grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren,  and four great-grandchildren, who will all miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Millard E. Rohrbaugh, and step-daughter, Karen S. Lambert.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or the American Cancer Society in her memory. Through her generous spirit and loving nature, Barbara's legacy will continue to influence and inspire those who knew her.
