Barry E. Steinmetz, 71, of Upper Nazareth, passed away peacefully in St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus, on Friday, June 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Tenges) Steinmetz. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage on April 12, 2025.

Born June 25, 1953, in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Luther and Stella (Shoemaker) Steinmetz.

Barry graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1971. He worked as a machinist for Ingersoll-Rand and was later employed as a quality control inspector for Curtis Wright prior to retiring. Barry enjoyed collecting and working on antique clocks and tending his flower and vegetable gardens. But his true passion was classic cars. Through the years, he attended many car shows and cruises with his restored and award winning, 1965 Pontiac GTO "Red".

In addition to his wife, Donna, Barry is survived by 2 sons, Barrett Steinmetz and his wife Danielle of Colorado; Kyle Steinmetz and his wife Heather of New Hampshire and granddaughter Parker; sisters Janet Martocci and her husband John, Ruth Richards and her husband George and his twin sister Barb Meckes and her husband Bob.

Along with his parents, Barry was predeceased by his sister Esther Godshalk and brother Elwood Steinmetz.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, June 20 from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Barry's name may be sent to St. Luke's Anderson Cancer Center, 1600 St. Luke's Blvd., Easton PA, 18045.
