Betty J. Hill, 88, of Wind Gap, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth.

Born October 27, 1927 in Wind Gap, she was the oldest daughter of George Hill, Sr. and Emma Lewis Hill.

Before she retired, Betty worked for Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap. She was a member of UNITE.

Betty is survived by four brothers, George Hill, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Saylorsburg, Robert Hill and his companion Fran Kunsman of Bangor, Walter Hill and his wife Fran of Wind Gap, and Harold Hill and his wife Patty of Florida; three sisters, Evelyn Stocker and Dorothy Lobb, both of Bangor, and Dolores Bayless of Nazareth; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 am on Tuesday, December 29, in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 202 West St.,Wind Gap. A funeral service will begin at 11 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Dean D. Frey officiating. Burial will be in Wind Gap Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's name may be offered to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19140, or to Fresenius Medical Center, 3501 Northwood Avenue, Easton, PA, 18045.
