Betty Jane Kern, 84, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Gracedale, Upper Nazareth Township. Born October 1, 1940, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Helen Hay Pysher. She was married to her beloved husband of 60 years, Russell "Russ" Kern.

Betty Jane was a graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1958. Later she graduated from the Easton School of Beauty. For many years she worked as a beautician for Orr's Department Store and a private beauty shop, both in Bethlehem. Betty carried the lessons and friendships from those years of school and work with her throughout her life. In her leisure time, she enjoyed the challenge of jigsaw puzzles. Betty Jane was a faithful member of Green Pond United Methodist, Easton (Bethlehem Twsp.).

In addition to her husband Russ, she will be dearly missed, and lovingly remembered, by 1 son, Richard and his wife Jessica of Ashburn, VA; a sister, Dolores Danner and her husband Henry of Bethlehem Township and grandchildren, Ryan (Jenny) Kern, Emilee and Tyler Kern; Ashleigh (Tapinder) Garcha, Julhienna, Adrienne, Emmalynn and Zachary Verma.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 10-11 am, Friday, October 18, 2024, at Green Pond United Methodist Church, 4411 Green Pond Rd., Easton, PA 18045. A Funeral service will follow at 11 am in the church. Betty Jane will be laid to rest in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions, in Betty Jane's name, may be offered to the church.
