Betty M. Pritchard, 84, of Wind Gap, passed away on Sunday evening, January 10, 2016, at the Slate Belt Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a patient for the past several months.

Born on June 21, 1931, in Bethlehem, she was the only child of the late William and Arrilla Muffley Dunbar.

Betty graduated from Bangor High School and worked in the food service industry. For most of her career she worked for Burger King. In earlier years, she was very active with the Wind Gap American Legion Auxiliary, having held many offices within the organization, and the Wind Gap Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed going dancing on Saturday nights.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Ann Pritchard and her granddaughter, Windy Pritchard, both of Wind Gap, with whom she resided. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Edward Pritchard.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 am on Friday, January 15, in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 202 West St., Wind Gap. A funeral service will begin at 11 am in the funeral home, with Rev. Don Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Wind Gap Cemetery.
