Obituary

Beulah A. Good, 97, formerly of Tatamy, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Old Orchard Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Good who passed away in 2012; together they celebrated 73 years of marriage. She was born on March 11, 1917 in Forks Twp., and was one of nine children born to the late Albert and Jennie Ryerson. Beulah's greatest passion was her husband, children and family. While raising their family, Beulah worked in the Centerfield School cafeteria, and later in various blouse factories in the Martins Creek/Bangor Area, retiring from Pioneer Manufacturing in 1982. During their retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling, and together spent the winter months for several years in St. Petersburg, FL. After Harold's passing, she lived at Walden III in Wind Gap where she enjoyed playing bingo and conversing with the other residents. Beulah had an exceptional sense of humor, and a passion for putting the concerns of others before herself. She felt extremely fortunate for having had a very happy home life and the blessing of being surrounded by many loved ones. Beulah was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Tatamy, and UNITE. Her loving family includes her son, Burton and his wife Marge of Bath; her daughter, Barbara Frutchey and her husband Dick of Mt. Bethel; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Lillie Hess and Florence Saylor. Along with her parents and husband, Harold, she was predeceased by a son Martin in infancy, five sisters and one brother. Relative and friends are invited to call Saturday, February 21, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth. A Funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 4th and Broad St., Tatamy, with Rev. Ernest G. Shaffer presiding. Burial will be in Forks Cemetery, Stockertown.
