Bryan L. Massi, 69, of Hamilton Twp., Saylorsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, surrounded by his family at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. He was the beloved husband of Susan Young Massi with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. Born on June 21, 1946 in Pen Argyl, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen Capone Massi.
Bryan was the well-known local barber who, for many years, together with his wife, owned and operated Massi's Barber & Beauty Shop. When he wasn't in the barber shop, he simply enjoyed being at home and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Susan, Bryan is survived by his daughter Amy Serfass and her husband Stan of Kunkletown, and two sons, Curtis Massi of Kunkletown and Douglas Massi and his wife Stacy of Saylorsburg. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren, Christopher and Kaitlyn Tworkowsky, and Curtis, George and James Massi, and one great-grandson, Tanner Tworkowsky. Also surviving is his sister, Carol Williams and her husband Fred of Easton.
Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 am on Monday, November 30, 2015, in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 202 West St., Wind Gap. A funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. Matt Whistler officiating. Burial will follow at Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfield Twp.
