Carol A. Reichart, 56, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, with the love of family and her close companion by her side. Born on September 13, 1959, she was the daughter of Helen E. Luzinski Reichart of Wind Gap, and the late John M. Reichart. Carol attended Pen Argyl High School and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. She last worked for the University Club of Bethlehem. Prior to that she was employed by Capital Blue Cross, Allentown. A lover of animals, Carol adored her beloved bichon "Albie". She was a gifted artist and especially loved reading. She also enjoyed working soduko and crossword puzzles. The intellectual that she was, Carol touched the lives of those she was closest to in her own special way. She was an interfaith believer. One world, many faiths, we are all God's children. In addition to her mother, Carol is survived by her sisters, Pat Labar of Nazareth, Theresa Macy and her husband Mike of Nazareth, and Linda Flederbach and her husband Bill of Boyertown. Also surviving are nieces Tara and Raylene; nephew Raymond; great-nephew Luke; and her devoted friend Don Fisher of Bethlehem with whom she resided. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 26, 2015, from 1-2 pm at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West Street, Wind Gap. Private interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Pen Argyl. In lieu of flowers, treasuring animals as she did, the family requests contributions in Carol's memory be made to the Center for Animal Health & Welfare, 1165 Island Park Road, Easton, PA, 18042, or to the Sanctuary at Haafsville, 901 Nestle Way, Breinigsville, PA, 18031.
