Obituary

Carole E. Santee, 84, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Moravian Hall Square. She was the wife of Dale R. Santee who passed away February 8, 1996, with whom she celebrated 42 years of marriage. Born October 24, 1936 in Wilson Borough, she was the only child of the late Earl and Ellen Lahr Evans.

Carole was a Wilson School District bus driver for 34 years, which led to lifelong friendships with teachers, coaches and students that were involved in a variety of extracurricular school activities. Most important to her was time spent with family and many dogs. She enjoyed family beach vacations, holiday and birthday gatherings, and traveling during retirement with her friend Wayne to numerous destinations including annual Florida trips to watch spring training.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, in Tatamy, where she was actively involved in the Ladies Guild, the Book Club, pie making fund raisers and was well known for her famous rice pudding often served at funeral luncheons. She was an avid Nazareth High School sports fan, especially those involving her 8 grandchildren and a longtime member of the Nazareth Wrestling Booster Club. Carole was a life member of the Tatamy Fire Co. and ladies auxiliary, coached girls' softball and, along with her husband Dale, played volleyball with the Tatamy Community League.

Carole will be lovingly missed by 2 sons, Robert Dale and his wife Janine and Scott Evan and his wife Toni; 2 daughters, Becky Carole Stocker and her husband Bob and Cindy R. E. Rizzolino and her husband Pat; 8 grandchildren, Meredith Miller and her husband Jeff, Jeremiah Stocker, Jason Stocker and his wife Megan, Lauren Moran and her husband James, Phillip Santee and his wife Whitney, Taylor Rizzolino, Madison Rizzolino and Macy Rizzolino; 9 great grandchildren, Valerie, Natalie, Brooke, Logan, Sophia, Nora, Rylan, Deacon and Emery; several nieces and nephews; longtime companion and best friend, Wayne Hoch; Wayne's children Melanie and Ryan and his granddaughter Nicole, as well as many friends.
