Carolyn Ellen (Shuman) Dugey of Saylorsburg, passed away on December 11, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital, Monroe Campus. She was the loving wife of Charles "Jake" Dugey Sr.; together they celebrated 19 years of marriage.

Born March 14, 1947 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia (Keck) Shuman.

Carolyn was employed as the director of environmental services at Pleasant Valley Manor prior to her retirement. She loved camping, quilting, trips to the casino, BINGO and riding her Suzuzki motorcycle. But most of all, she enjoyed the company of her four legged companions; her dogs BamBam and Buddy and her cat Tiger.

She is survived by her daughter; Brenda Kern and husband Chris, stepsons; Charles Dugey Jr.and wife Chris and Randy Dugey and wife Karen, brother Robert Shuman and sister; Myrtle Cascioli as well as grandchildren; Dillon, Kayla, Candice and Shawn Jr. and 3 step grandchildren.

Carolyn was predeceased by her first husband; Kenneth P. Thomas Sr., 2 sons; Kenneth P. Thomas Jr. and Shawn P. Thomas Sr., and 2 brothers; Earl Shuman and Joseph Shuman. The family would like to give a special thank you to the B Wing nursing staff at Pleasant Valley Manor for their wonderful care.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 6-7 PM in the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where the Memorial service will begin at 7 PM. Burial will be private.
