Catherine Eleanor Miller, 92, of Chandler Estates, Wind Gap, passed away on September 13, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Mary Moser and Clayton Miller.
Catherine graduated from Liberty High School in 1945 and attended Rider College.
She began her career as a histology technician at Allentown Hospital and later served as the head of the Histology Department of St. Luke's Hospital, retiring in 1990.
An avid horseperson, Catherine resided in Kunkletown where she raised quarter horses. She was a member of the Plainfield Riding Club and a 4-H group leader.
She was a former member of Hope UCC, Wind Gap.
Catherine is survived by her sister-in law; Gail A. D. Miller of Gilbertsville, niece; Linda Lee Forester and husband Timothy D. of Pottstown, nephew; G. Robert Miller and companion Trina Hixson of Mount Penn, as well as 1 great niece and 2 great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Frederick E. Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 9 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 202 West St. Wind Gap with Rev. Dr. Dean D. Frey presiding. Catherine will be laid to rest in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
