Charles W. Walz, 94, formerly of Belfast, passed away Friday evening, February 14, 2025 in Slate Belt Medical Center, Washington Township.  He was the loving husband of Rose (Hummer) Walz who passed away on September 26, 2020.

Born April 9, 1930, in Stewartsville, NJ, he was the son of the late Lovene F. and Bertha M. (Hess) Walz.  Charles was raised in Phillipsburg and graduated from Phillipsburg High School. He worked for the Dixie Cup in Wilson Borough later know as American Can Company where he retired. He was very proud of his family and always enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.  In his spare time, Charles was a member of a quoit league in Easton.

Charles is survived by his daughter Melissa Hoadley and her husband Robert of Palmerton; 1 granddaughter, Olivia and 2 grandsons Trevor Hoadley and his fiancé Tisha Ivory and Cameron Eckhardt; 2 step grandsons Michael Hoadley and his wife Nicki and Bobby Hoadley and his wife Kristy Follweiler; and 9 great grandchildren Joseph, Braelyn, Amari, Kristi Marie, Destiny, Dakota, Cheyenne, Landon and Josephine.

Along with his wife and parents, Charles was predeceased by his daughter Sally Eckhardt.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, February 21 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where the funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will be private.
