Charlotte M. Berger, 81, of Wind Gap, passed away early Sunday morning, January 30, 2022 in her home. She was the loving wife of LeRoy Berger who passed away on June 24, 2017.

Born October 14, 1940 in Wind Gap, she was a daughter of the late Clark and Jenny Mae (Kessler) Rissmiller. Before retiring, she worked as a hemmer for various textile mills in the Slate Belt area, including Valerie Fashions. She always looked forward to visits from her family, enjoyed fishing with her husband LeRoy and the companionship of her many dogs throughout the years.

She was a member of ILGWU and a social member of the East Lawn Fire Co. and the Bangor VFW.

Charlotte is survived by her daughters; Kelly Beveridge and husband William, Tammy Rose, Sheila Rose and Joy Rose, stepsons; Rick Berger and wife Bonny, Greg Berger and wife Kim and stepdaughter; Cindy Berger Chapman and husband Chris, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brothers; Clark Rissmiller and wife Helen, Terry Rissmiller and wife Judy, Glenwood Rissmiller and wife Judy and sister; Helen Frack and husband Robert.

In addition her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her step daughter; Debbie Frazier and her husband Tom, sister; Joyce Houck, brother; Wayne Rissmiller and her first husband; Russell Rose.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, February 2, 2002 from 2pm- 4pm in the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where a Time of Sharing will begin at 4pm. Burial will be private. Memorials in Charlotte's memory may be offered to PA Breast Cancer Coalition (pabreastcancer.org).
