Christine E. S. Weiland, 90, of Nazareth, passed away January 27, 2015 in Moravian Hall Square. She was the wife of Frances J. Weiland who died in 1977. Christine was born December 24, 1924 in Forks Twp. She was one of twelve children born to the late David V. and Helen L. (Santee) Stocker. Always having an adventurous spirit, Christine moved to New York City shortly after high school. She moved to Florida in 1957 where she worked as a Secretary for the Dade County Tax Collector. While living in Florida, she acquired her pilot's license. After returning to Pennsylvania in 1977, she worked for many years for Milton Faust Jeweler in Easton. Christine enjoyed traveling and the beach. She was a member of Forks United Church of Christ, Stockertown. Christine is survived by one brother, Kenneth Stocker, of Forks Twp, and three sisters, Virginia Brodt of Plainfield Twp, Elenora Kachline (Richard) of Kresgeville, and Carolyn Knauss (George) of Tatamy. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frederick, Richard, David "Spike", Clifford and George Stocker, and sisters, Susie Stocker and Lorraine Serfass. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, and on Tuesday, February 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Otto Dreydopple presiding. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton. Memorial donations in Christine's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
