Christy Snyder- Padula Smith, 29, of Mt. Bethel, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono.  She was the loving wife of Jake Smith; together they celebrated 3 years of marriage.

Born October 9, 1992 in Allentown, she was the only child of Jody Anne Snyder of Northampton and the late Gregory Padula.

She was a graduate of Northampton High School, class of 2011 where she played softball, marched in the band and played the flute. She was a recognized flutist in the middle and high school bands and danced several years with Steps in Time of Allentown. Following high school, Christy played softball for Allen Township and Northampton A A. She also attended Northampton Community College.  Christy worked at Zoups in Allentown, Sheetz in Whitehall and as a payroll specialist for Paychex.  She was a devoted wife and mother and took pride in making her home a special place.  Christy loved to cook and bake for her family, tend her vegetable garden and looked forward to camping trips with her husband and children.  She taught Sunday school at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bath and served with the Girl Scouts as a leader and treasurer in the Upper Mt Bethel area.

Along with her husband and mother, Christy is survived by her children, Addyson, Everly, Ethan and Aiden; half sister Tiffany Stettler; maternal grandparents Gerald and Peggy Snyder of Northampton and paternal grandmother Lois Padula of Northampton. Along with her father, she was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Richard Padula Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, August 20 from 9:30-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where the funeral service will follow at 11 am. Christy will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown. If you choose to send flowers, please consider Sunflowers, as they were Christy's favorite.
