Obituary

Clarence S. Klipple, 89, of Nazareth passed away Monday February 18, 2013 in Gracedale. He was the husband of Grace Weiant Klipple. Together they celebrated 69 years of marriage in July. Born: July 11, 1923 in Lower Nazareth Township, he was a son of the late George and Minnie Schoch Klipple. Personal: Clarence honorably served his country with the US Army from 1943-1946. When he was discharged, he volunteered to stay three more months so that seriously wounded solders could return home before him. Earlier in life, Clarence worked for Stocker Brothers Dairy, Brown and Borak Lumber Company and Getty Oil Company. In 1953 he founded the Klipple Fuel Oil Company, operating the business until his retirement in 1986. Memberships: Clarence was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Tatamy. Survivors: Along with his loving wife Grace, Clarence is survived by two sons, Dennis and his wife Charlene of Moorestown, and Terry and his wife Debra of Nazareth; and two granddaughters, Kristen Klipple, and Karen Szczepanski and her husband Marc. Along with his parents,he was predeceased by brothers Paul, Lester, Warren, Roy, and Raymond, and sisters Florence Fehnel and Alice Klipple. Services: Funeral services will be held Friday at 11am in the Schmidt Funeral Home P.C. 407 Belvidere St Nazareth with Pastor Herbert C. Dolich presiding. Relatives and friends are invited to call 10am till 11am on Friday. Burial will follow in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Clarence may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, PO Box 237, Tatamy PA 18085, or the Alzheimers Association, 399 Market St Philadelphia, PA 19106.
