Clarence H. Rohn's Obituary
Clarence H."Clem" Rohn, 81, of Belfast, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Deanna Repsher Rohn.
Born September 18, 1935 in Lower Nazareth, he was a son of the late Earl and Edna Moser Rohn.
Following the death of his father, Clem and his family lived at various homes during his childhood including a year with his sister Irene Tenges and her husband Robert working on their farm. He later found employment with Claude Hartman, proprietor of Hartman's Meats in Belfast. Clem purchased the business from Claude's son Lester Hartman in 1967 and continued running the business for 28 years. Everyone knew Clem as the man who drove the ice cream truck with it's distinctive bell. He later worked for ARC Maintenance until his retirement.
Clem was an avid bowler at Blue Valley Lanes in Wind Gap where he won numerous trophies and awards through the years.
He is survived by a son Joseph Rohn and his fiancée Sheri Medellin and her children Ashley and Ryan, two daughters, Joann Rohn Ames and her husband Douglas and grandson Derek Featherman and Jodi Rohn Divine. Four brothers, Earl, Paul, Warren and Ralph Rohn and three sisters, Irene Tenges, Emma Sutter and Phyllis Milheim.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one son, Harold Rohn and one sister Pearl Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St Nazareth. Funeral services will follow at 11 am with Rev Dr. Dean D. Frey officiating. Clem will be laid to rest in Forks Cemetery, Stockertown.
