Constance M. Panovec, 91, of Forks Township, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2014 at her home. Born: Constance was born on October 26, 1922 in Jersey City, NJ to William and Elizabeth (Applegate) Poyer. Personal: She was a 1939 graduate of Morristown High School. The following year she married the love of her life, John L Panovec, and moved to Forks. They were together for 63 years before his passing in 2003. Constance had many jobs over the years, most involving cooking, baking, or sewing; she also had an egg route, selling fresh eggs from the farm. She was the retired owner of Connie's Custom Draperies and Slipcovers. She volunteered her time and talent in sewing to various groups such as the Friends of the State Theater, Safe Harbor, and Chansonette Theatre. She also was a driver for the Red Cross. She raised nine children on the family farm, but was known as "Mom" to many more. Survivors: She is survived by four sons: John David of Meshoppen, PA; Jeffrey of Kunkletown; Michael and Jason of Forks Township; and three daughters: Susan Allen (Ronald) of Carson City, NV; Noreen Martinez (Joseph) of El Dorado, CA; and Millie Perry (Patrick) of Cedar Lake, IN. A daughter, Judith, and a son, Thomas, died earlier. Nana, as she was affectionately called later in life, also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved cat, Fezziwig, and her devoted puggle, Lucy. Services: A memorial and celebration of life service will be held at Forks United Church of Christ, Sullivan Trail, Stockertown on Saturday, September 27. Calling hours are 4 PM to 5 PM, with the service at 5 PM, followed by a reception at the church.
