Cortney Marie Shankweiler, 35, passed away February 20, 2022 in Boalsburg, Centre County.  Born December 22, 1986 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of Ann (Transue) Gambino and step father Jimmy, and Fred Shankweiler and step mother Paula.

Cortney graduated from Dover High School, Dover Delaware.  She was self employed for a time, but her most rewarding job was being a loving single mom to her three children.  Although her days were filled with caring for her family, she always found the time to lend a hand to family and friends alike.

Along with her parents, Fred and Ann, she is survived by her children, Dominick, Emma and Riley; brothers, Brent Shankweiler and Alex Pingitore; stepbrothers, Cole Bankus and Quinn Pavone; godmother Sharon Strohl as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cortney was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Donald and Virginia Shankweiler, her maternal grandparents, Sandra Lee Transue and Russell (Rosario) Bubba and her godfather, Dallas Strohl.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 12-1 pm in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, followed by a Memorial Service at 1 pm.  Cortney will be laid to rest in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
