Curt B. Curtis, 73 of Nazareth, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at his residence. Born February 5, 1948, in Fountain Hill, he was the only child of the late Ira and Shirley Strunk Curtis. Curt was the loving husband of Karen Olenwine Curtis, together they celebrated 48 years of marriage.
Curt graduated from Nazareth High School Class of 1966 and attended 1 year at Penn State University. Following college, he served 3 years in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed for 24 years at Lone Star Cement Co. as a materials handler and worked for Wegman's for 10 years in the bakery department.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Nazareth, the East Lawn Social Club, the American Legion Post #9 of Palmer Township, and the VFW Post #4366 of Nazareth. Curt was a fan of Nazareth High School wrestling, Penn State football and NASCAR. He also enjoyed trips to Ocean City, NJ, always looked forward to visiting his only grandchild, Avery, in Maryland.
In addition to his wife Karen, Curt is survived by his only child, son Eric and his wife Kara of Maryland and his granddaughter, Avery Grace.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing, from 9:30-11 am, on Tuesday, April 20 in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. Military services and burial will be held privately with the family in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown. Memorials in Curt's name made be offered to the Parish Help Ministries at St. John's United Church of Christ, 183 S. Broad St., Nazareth, PA 18064.
