Daniel A. Itterly, 75, of Upper Nazareth, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Patricia Marcellus Itterly. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage. Born September 12, 1938 in Plainfield Township, he was the only child of the late Elmer A. and Edna George Itterly. Dan graduated from Pen Argyl High School, class of 1956. He worked as a steel forger at Bonney Forge and later held the position of supervisor at Mack Trucks before retiring. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed hunting and never missed his grandchildren's sporting events. Along with his wife Patricia, Dan is survived by one son Alan of Wilson Boro, two daughters, Audrey Sauerzopf and her husband Robert and Annette Lichtenwalner and her husband Douglas all of Nazareth and six grandchildren, Sarah Berghardt and her husband Brett, Nolan Sauerzopf and Douglas Jr., Daniel, Benjamin and Haley Lichtenwalner. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 6-7:30 pm in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St. Nazareth. A memorial prayer service will be held on Friday at 7:30 in the funeral home.
