Daniel David Schneck, 73, of Bethlehem, formerly of Plainfield Township, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the beloved husband of Connie Jean (Heard) Schneck with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Born March 3, 1947 in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late William L. and Blanche (Detweiler) Schneck.

Daniel graduated from Pen Argyl High School in 1966. He honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed for 20 years by the Plainfield Township Municipality, and later worked for the Nazareth Area School District as a custodian for 10 years before his retirement in 2008. Dan was an avid Eagles fan, and in his spare time enjoyed setting jigsaw puzzles. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He was a proud member of the Local Teamsters Union #773.

In addition to his wife Connie Jean, Daniel is survived by daughters, Annette Schneck and her fiancée James Geiter, and Kristen Schneck and her fiancée David Vanbuskirk; grandson, Dylan Vanbuskirk; granddaughter, Alexis Kleedorfer; and step-granddaughter, Katelyn Geiter. He was predeceased by son Michael in infancy.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am in Forks Cemetery, Stockertown.
