Dolores A. Cortez, 73, of Nazareth, passed away on Friday April 26, 2013 in Easton Hospital. Born November 11, 1939 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Antoinette (Ambrose) Cortez. Personal: She graduated from Nazareth High School. She retired from the Bell Box Company. Dolores enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her kindness, compassion, generosity and willingness to help others. Dolores's nieces and nephews are blessed by many memories of the fun, joy and laughter she always shared. Survivors: She is survived by five sisters, Mary Frey of Tatamy, Virginia Kulp, of Bethlehem and Margaret, wife of Sherwood La Toure, Nellie Mengel, Matilda Kolb, all of Nazareth; and one brother, Martin Cortez Jr. of Nazareth; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mame Pietro and Helen Swope and her brothers, Carmen Cortez Sr., Russell Cortez and Frank Cortez. Services: At Dolores's request, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schmidt Funeral Home P.C., Nazareth.
