Donald F. "Goldie" Gold, 67, of Nazareth, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Born September 2, 1948, in Fountain Hill, PA, he was the son of the late William T. Gold and Frances Hartzell Gold.

Donald graduated from Nazareth High School with the Class of 1966. He honorably served his country with the U S. Army. He later worked as a bulk loader for Essroc in Nazareth, from where he recently retired after more than 30 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed motor sports, especially Nascar racing, having traveled to Florida many years for the Daytona 500. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Jacksonian Club of Nazareth where he formerly served as President.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Monica Gold of Easton. Also surviving is his sister, Nancy Stannard and her husband Biff of Nazareth.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services which will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Cemetery, Hecktown. Services are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, Nazareth.
