Donna L. Altemose, 73, of Bethlehem Twp, passed away on April 27, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital-Anderson Campus. She was the loving wife of Gilbert A. "Skip" Altemose with whom she celebrated 29 years of marriage.

Born January 13, 1948 in Fountain Hill, she was the only child of the late Robert and Viola Grube Crush.

Donna was a 1965 graduate of Nazareth High School and worked as a certified nursing assistant at Gracedale before retiring. In her spare time she was an avid fisherman, and along with her husband, fished many streams and lakes in the US and Alaska. Donna was also a talented artist specializing in acrylic painting. She was a member of the Point Phillips Rod and Gun Club and a yearly participant in the local walk for cancer.

Along with her husband Skip, she is survived by two sons, Terry Tanasijczuk and his wife Sharon, and Michael Tanasijczuk; and two grandchildren, Brook and Terrin. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her first husband, George Tanasijczuk.

Private services will be held with the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
