Doris M. Broad, 88, of Palmerton, formerly of Tatamy, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, in St Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the beloved wife of the late William Broad Sr. who passed away in 2010.  Born August 30, 1937, in Hecktown, Doris was a daughter of the late Russell and Mildren (Deiter) Hauser.

Doris was a graduate of Nazareth High School and worked in marketing at Sam's Club before retiring.  She had a flair for decorating and always enjoyed displaying different seasonal decorations in her home.

She found immense joy in tending to her flower gardens, where she spent countless hours nurturing her plants and creating beautiful landscapes. Her gardens were a sanctuary of color and life, a testament to her nurturing spirit and her appreciation for nature's beauty. Doris's love for gardening was a passion she shared with her family, passing down her knowledge and enthusiasm to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She attended St Peter's UCC, Tatamy.

Doris is survived by her grandchildren, Kristi Broad (Shaun Burke) of Palmerton with whom she lived, Erik Broad of Florida, and David Broad (Beth) of Lower Saucon; great- grandchildren, Brielle Arnold and Jeremy Broad, and great great-grandchildren Katara and Tiberius Murphy. Sisters Carol Konya (Stan) and Sandra Frace and brother Ronald Hauser. Along with her parents and husband Bill, Doris was predeceased by her son William Broad Jr., and daughter Judith Broad; sisters, Martha Houser Fossel, Joyce Houser, Betty Houser Hellstrom, Delores Houser Herbst, Linda Houser Gruss, and brother, Ralph Houser.

Services and burial will be private.  Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
