Doris E. Brodt, 88, of Forks Township, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Old Orchard Health Care Center.  She was the wife of the late Wilson R. Brodt Jr, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

Born October 29, 1928 in Stockertown, she was the youngest of six children born to the late Floyd and Myrtie Brodt Buzzard.

Doris was a graduate of Nazareth High School.  She was a homemaker throughout her life.  In her spare time she enjoyed walking, reading, writing short stories of her life experiences and playing various, self-taught musical instruments.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Forks Township where she was active in numerous groups through the years.

Doris is survived by two sons; Glenn and his wife Jill of Colorado Springs, CO, Roland and his wife Barbara of Wilson Borough and one daughter-in-law Brenda Brodt of Bushkill Township as well as 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by two sons; Daniel R. and Darwin E.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 10- 11 am in Faith Lutheran Church, 2012 Sullivan Trail, Easton PA 18040 where funeral services will begin at 11 am.  Doris will be laid to rest in Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Doris's name may be offered to the church.  Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St, Nazareth PA.
