Doris J. Hoadley, 92, of Nazareth, passed away on February 19, 2016, in St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem.
Born April 2, 1923 in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Raymond G. and Carrie S. MacDonald Nagle.
Doris was always a hardworker who enjoyed being around people. Earlier in life, she worked at the St. Regis Paper Co. in Nazareth, and owned and operated the Korner Lunch Restaurant in Stockertown. Later she worked as a cook and then in the housekeeping department at Gracedale Nursing Home, from where she retired. Doris loved to play pinochle with the East Lawn Fire Co. Ladies Card Club.
Doris is survived by two daughters, Linda MacDonald and her husband Bruce of Bushkill Twp., and Susan Murauskas and her husband Edward of Georgetown, DE. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Michael, Thomas and Patrick MacDonald and Alexis Murauskas; a Great-Grandson, Tyler; two Great-Great-Granddaughters, Sophie and Rosalie; and two sisters, Barbara Nelms and her husband David of Largo, FL, and Ethel Konke and her husband Wayne of Hubbard, OR.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family, and are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Doris' memory may be offered to St. Luke's Hospice, 240 Union Station Plaza, Bethlehem PA 18015
