Doris M. Parsons, 89, of Wind Gap, passed away suddenly on Sunday evening, July 15, 2018, in her home. She was the wife of Richard "Dick" Parsons who passed away in 1980.

Born May 13, 1929 in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Annie Werner Hahn.

Doris was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School and later worked for the family business, Hahnie's Cut Rate in Wind Gap until its closure in 1974. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word search, Lafayette basketball, the Phillies and spending time with her friends and family.

She was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church in Wind Gap.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Nancy Meyers and her husband George of Pen Argyl; 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey Meyers and his wife Samantha, and Julie Haring and her husband Chris; and 2 great grandchildren, Landon and Ethan Meyers. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Mildred Hahn.

A private funeral service will be held in the Schmidt Funeral Home, Wind Gap with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
