Dorothy J. "Dot" Behler, 83, of Wind Gap passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Gracedale. She was the wife of Russell H. Behler Sr. who died earlier. Born: February 14, 1930 in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late Russell Sr. and Edith Casebier Altemus. Personal: Before retiring, Dot worked for various blouse mills in the area. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing bingo and taking an occasional trip to the casino. Memberships: Dot was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Wind Gap as well as UNITE. Survivors: She is survived by one son Russell H. Jr and his wife Barbara of Enola, PA, one daughter Susan Morykin and her husband Alex of Wind Gap. Her grandchildren Matthew, Benjamin and Elizabeth Behler and Andrew and Gregory Morykin and her great granddaughter Lily Rose Behler. Dot was predeceased by brothers Paul, Jim and Russell Jr. and sisters Helen and Ethel. Services: Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home P.C., 202 West St Wind Gap with Rev Dr. Dean D. Frey presiding. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10-11 am Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wind Gap Cemetery.
