Dorothy A. "Dottie" Klipple, 78, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2019, in St Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus, with her family at her side. She was the loving wife of Warren W. Klipple; together they shared 57 years of marriage.
Born June 24, 1940 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mildred Beam Baltz.
Dottie graduated from Nazareth High School, class of 1958 and was a homemaker most of her life. Later she worked as a hostess for Hartman's Restaurant in Belfast before retiring in 2001. She enjoyed attending public auctions, collecting antiques and baking. Family and friends would look forward, every year, to a delicious bag of fastnachts from her kitchen. Dottie was very sociable and loved to "catch up" with friends. Her conversation would always include remembering birthdays, anniversaries and special dates.
Along with her husband Warren, Dottie is survived by 2 daughters; Chanel Letwinch and her husband Tommy and Adele Yoder and her husband Samuel all of Nazareth, 3 grandchildren; Tabitha Pavlo and her husband Joe, Madison Brunk and her husband Tyler and Patrick Yoder, 1 great grandchild; Cassidy Pavlo and 3 sisters; Shirley Bowers of Pennsburg, Elaine Miller of Kempton and Evelyn Panik and her husband George of Sykesville.
Dottie was predeceased by 1 sister Arlene Rissmiller.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, January 31, from 6-8 pm and Friday, February 1, from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St. Nazareth. A funeral service will follow at 11 am with the Reverend Jeffery Brinks presiding. Dottie will be laid to rest in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dottie's name may be offered to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Site 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
