Douglas M Sunday, 43, of Bushkill Township, PA, formerly of Milford, NJ, died at home in hospice care on Friday, May 8, 2015, after a 20 month battle with colon cancer. He was the loving husband of 3 years to Suzanne Reenstra Sunday. Born on August 12, 1971, in Memphis, TN, Doug was the beloved son of Douglas and Mary (Hoffman) Sunday of East Allen Township, PA. Doug graduated from Delaware Valley Regional High School, Frenchtown, NJ class of 1989. He attended the University of Chicago and NJIT, studying chemistry. For the last decade he held the position of Vice President at Pharma Q Inc., Parsippany, NJ, a firm specializing in regulatory compliance. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to play golf. He enjoyed being around a close circle of friends and his special feline buddies, Luigi and Shelly. The family wishes to thank Lehigh Valley Hematology-Oncology Associates and Lehigh Valley Hospice for their ongoing care and support throughout Doug's battle. In addition to his loving wife and parents, Doug is survived by his brother, Kirk Sunday, of Brooklyn NY and step-daughter, Emily Gossner, at home. A Memorial Service celebrating Doug's life will be held on Thursday, May 14, at 12:00 p.m. in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 in the funeral home.
