Obituary

Earl R. Remaley, 89, of Nazareth passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his residence.

Born in Nazareth on April 2, 1928, he was a son of the late Grant and Lily Gogel Remaley.  He was the husband of Patricia Giovanni Remaley, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

Earl attended Nazareth Area High School and served in the U.S. Army in World War II.  He worked for Martin Guitar Co. in Nazareth for many years, retiring as plant manager.  Earl loved the outdoors and enjoyed archery, hunting, and fishing.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Nazareth.

In addition to his beloved wife Patricia, Earl is survived by his children, Richard (Barbara) of AZ, David (Shirley) of NC, and Judy Coughlin (John) of Bushkill Twp.; stepbrother, Howard Stump (Nancy) of Pen Argyl; stepsister, June Stump of Nazareth; and granddaughter, Lauren Trinsey (Patrick) and great-grandson James. He is also survived by five step grandchildren, numerous step great-grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.  Earl was predeceased by brothers, Carl and Sherwood; and sister, Gloria Miller.

Services will be private, and are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.

Memorial contributions may be offered to the Center for Animal Health & Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton PA 18042, or to St. Luke's Hospice, Development Office, 801 Ostrum St, Bethlehem PA 18015.
