Edna F. Imboden, 90, of Bangor, originally of Kesslersville, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at the Easton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Adam H. Imboden who passed in 1986. Born on August 18, 1925, in Kesslersville, she was a daughter of the late Mark E. and Mabel Butz Siegfried.
From an early age, Edna was a very faithful and devoted daughter who enjoyed learning and helping her parents with the preparation and selling of foods, vegetables and wares that they offered to the community. For a short time, she worked for Binney & Smith, but devoted most of her time to being a homemaker. She volunteered her time in the kitchen with the Plainfield Twp. Fire Co. Auxiliary. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and cards with her friends at the Bangor High-rise. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Tatamy.
Edna is survived by her son, Ronald Imboden and his wife Betty of Kempton, and her daughter, Linda Tucker and her husband Gale of Long Valley, NJ. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Siegfried of Easton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Jeanette Stahl; brothers, Russell, Ellis, Elwood and Kenneth; and sisters, Evelyn Karo, Gladys Houck and Anna Butz.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 28, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Herbert Dolich officiating. Burial will follow at Belfast Union Cemetery.
