Edward J. Kolb, 85, of Washington Township, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hecktown Oaks. Born in Easton, on December 18, 1939 he was a son of the late Melvin E. and Mary Margaret "Peg" (Butz) Kolb. He was the beloved husband of Pennie (Werner) Kolb with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.

Eddie worked as a cross country truck driver for over 50 years, hauling for Rollin Johnson Trucking, Inc. until retirement. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and, after driving long distances for so many years, he truly enjoyed being home and staying around the house. There he could be found tinkering on cars, playing games on his tablet, watching TV or keeping company with his dog Chip. He also loved listening to Bluegrass music and for many years Eddie, along with his wife Pennie, belonged to "AFBA," Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association, of Wind Gap, and attended numerous music festivals. After retirement he became an avid fitness buff, changing his diet and going to the gym to work out once or twice a day, with stops in between at the local diner just to visit with folks and socialize. And although he was a man of few words, his impact on others will surely be missed.

In addition to his wife Pennie, Ed is survived by; his son, Eddie Kolb and grandson, Julian Kolb both of Wind Gap; brother, Roy Kolb; sisters, Joyce Pritchard and her husband Harold, and Robin Repsher and her husband Bryan. He was predeceased by a son, Randolph and siblings, Melvin C. Kolb and Barbara Kutz.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service, held Thursday, March 6 at 11am in Bushkill United Methodist Cemetery,1330 Church Rd., Clearfield, PA.
