Eileen M. Welser-Morykin, 81, of Plainfield Twp., passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Roy B. Welser who passed in 1987, and the late Michael Morykin, Sr., who passed in 2001.

Born September 1, 1934 in Plainfield Twp., she was a daughter of the late Paul and Edith Renner Teel.

Eileen graduated from Pen Argyl High School. Before retiring, she was the Supervisor of the Shipping Dept. at A & H Sportwear in Pen Argyl. She loved being a grandmother and adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she volunteered her time with the Plainfield Twp. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

She was a former member of Hope United Church of Christ in Wind Gap, where she served on the Church Council and was very active with the Choir.

Eileen is survived by two sons, SFC (Ret) Scott Welser and his wife Mary, and Michael Morykin, Jr. and his wife Stacey, and two daughters, Claudia Welser-Hess and her husband Kipp, and Lynn Stevens and her husband Brian. Also surviving is her sister, Brenda Luther; 13 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by her son, Byron R. Welser and a brother, LTC (Ret) Ray Teel.

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11 am on Monday, August 22, at Slate Belt Baptist Church, 1620 Church Road, Pen Argyl, PA, 18072, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am with the Rev. Dr. Scott Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Plainfield Cemetery.
