Elaine M. Cuono, 71, of Plainfield Township passed away Wednesday December 12, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Carmen M. Cuono who passed away on June 17, 2009. BORN: January 31, 1941 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Bachman Nicholasen. PERSONAL: Elaine was a graduate of Wilson High School. Earlier in life she worked in various blouse mills in the Lehigh Valley. Elaine later became a cook for several fraternities at Lafayette College prior to her retirement. SURVIVORS: She will be lovingly remembered by two daughters Linda Emili of Plainfield Township and Lorenda Rush of Central New York; 6 grandchildren, Dena Todaro and husband Michael, Christine Sandt and companion Paul Boruch, Christopher Cuono and wife Amy, David Emili and wife Alyssa, Alicia Emili and Chrissy Rush; and 7 great grandchildren, Paige, Amber, Michelle, Pippa, Rocco, Nico and Mia; one brother, James Nicholasen of Bath, and one sister, Shirley Matlock of Kunkeltown. She was predeceased by one son Barry. SERVICES: A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
