Eleanor E. Metler, 100, formerly of Tatamy, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in ProMedica South, Bethlehem.  She was the loving wife of Karl F. Metler who passed away on February 2, 2018.  Together they shared 75 years of marriage.

Born July 16, 1922 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Marie (Tippman) Hoffstadt.

Eleanor was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1940.  She was last employed by the Nazareth School district where she worked in the cafeteria.  She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Tatamy and early in life, bowled with the Krazee League Team at Bardon Bowling Lanes.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla Barr of Downingtown; her son Gary Metler and his wife Beth of Tatamy; 2 granddaughters, Tara Zito and her husband Joe and Marissa Metler as well as 1 great granddaughter Payton.  Eleanor was predeceased by 3 brothers, Louis, Walter and William Hoffstadt.

A private graveside service will be held at Fork's Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth PA.
