Elizabeth Douglas, age 92, of Belfast, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at her residence. She was the wife of Howard Douglas. Her first husband John Jasniewicz died in 1970. BORN: She was born on March 22, 1922 in Somerville, NJ, the daughter of Paulino and Adelle Giraldi. PERSONAL: Elizabeth worked in the transportation department for Somerville Hospital and later Gracedale. MEMBERSHIPS: She attended Wesley United Methodist Church of Belfast. SURVIVORS: Elizabeth is survived by four sons, Robert, Paul, Joseph and William; one daughter, Betty Ann Leiman; one stepson, Bryan; one stepdaughter, Kelly; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 3:00 p.m. in Wesley United Methodist Church, 607 School Rd, Belfast. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
